Note 01
About Karolina
Height first: Karolina is 174 cm and slim with it, which usually makes her the tallest at any table and has never once bothered her. Her hair is long, black and straight, her eyes are brown, and her clothes are plain to the point of severity, usually one colour from collar to hem. Late twenties. She stands still when other people fidget, and it reads as confidence because it is.
She speaks English and she uses less of it than most. That is not coldness, it is economy, and once an evening warms up she is funny in a flat, well timed way that catches people off guard. She reads a great deal, mostly non fiction, goes to the theatre on her own nights off, and can talk about a play for an hour without telling you what to think about it. She never spoils an ending either, which is rarer than it should be.
A WC2 evening with her usually runs through The Barbary in Neal's Yard, twenty four seats around a counter, no reservations after a certain hour and no room for pretence. She likes sitting at the pass and watching the work. Covent Garden is her home district, so the walk between the Piazza, the theatres and your hotel is one she can plan in her head while you are still deciding.
Theatre nights need a day of warning, everything else usually does not. The Covent Garden page has the Piazza, the hotels and the other women working WC2. Put the night and the hotel in a message to booking and you will hear whether it is hers to give.

Note 03
An evening with Karolina
She is early rather than on time, and she will be reading something when you find her. The first drink is brief. She would rather spend the evening at a counter than a lounge, and she will say so in the first two minutes so you can decide.
Neal's Yard is five minutes from most WC2 hotels and the counter seats put you shoulder to shoulder, which does more for a conversation than any amount of space across a table. She eats with genuine appetite and orders one dish too many on purpose. Afterwards the Piazza is emptying, the theatres are turning out, and she is content to walk through all of it at the speed of somebody with nowhere urgent to be. If there is a late show worth catching she will already know about it.

What people wrote back
Nothing has been written up under Karolina yet, which is usually what discretion looks like. A note goes on the board only when a client sends one in writing, she agrees to it, and the office has checked that it reads as a first name, a month and nothing private.
