Why a city wide board, and not one district
Most agencies in this city pick a postcode and defend it. This one did the opposite. It keeps a single board for the whole city, from W1K out to E14 and beyond, on the straightforward grounds that people do not stay in one district, they stay wherever the meeting or the flight or the theatre put them.
That decision costs something. It means admitting that nobody on the board lives in Shoreditch, that the run to the docks takes an hour, and that Belgravia has nothing to do after dinner. It is a fair trade. A board that tells you those things is a board whose arrival windows you can rely on.
Note 01
Who answers
Sylvie runs the office and writes most of the replies herself. She has been doing it long enough to know which hotels have small lobbies, which streets are closed to traffic in the evening and how long a Friday journey actually takes down Park Lane. She is quick rather than chatty, and she says no when no is the answer.
There is no call centre behind her and no rota of people writing in the same voice. If you book twice, the second exchange starts where the first one finished, which is the practical advantage of a small office over a big one.
Note 02
Availability first, opinion last
The board exists to answer one question quickly: who can actually do your evening. Everything else on the site is arranged behind that. The who is free page carries a hand edited note against every name, away dates included, and the office would rather show you a short list of genuine options than a long list of hopeful ones.
This is also why the area pages read the way they do. They lead with postcodes, walking minutes and honest journey times, and leave the atmosphere until afterwards. You can check every claim on them the same evening, which is the only standard worth writing to.
Note 03
The twenty eight
Twenty eight women, each met in person before she went on the board. Every profile is written from that meeting rather than from a form: height, build, hair, eyes, the age band, the language she speaks, how she likes an evening to run and one room in her own district where she would take you.
They set their own limits and the office holds them. Some take two evenings a week and no more. Some will not start before eight. Some travel east readily and some do not. None of that is negotiable through the office, and a companion can decline or end a booking at any point without being argued with.
Note 04
How the money works
One ladder for everybody, from £250 for an hour up to £1,800 for a ten hour overnight, printed in full on the rates page. No name is priced above another, so the choice is about company rather than budget, and no figure appears on a night that was not on that page first.
The fee goes to her, in person, when she arrives. The figure is the one in your written confirmation and it does not move once she is there. That arrangement is simple, it protects both sides, and it is the same in every zone.
Note 05
What the board will not do
It will not work with anyone under 18, and there is no version of that sentence with an exception in it. It will not describe anything beyond time and companionship, on any page or in any message. It will not claim a partnership with a hotel, because there are none, and it will not shave the hour it quotes to make a far district sound near.
It also takes coercion seriously rather than rhetorically. Every companion here works independently, chooses her own bookings and can end one at any point. Anyone concerned about exploitation, in this industry or any other, can contact the Modern Slavery Helpline, and the link sits in the footer of every page on this site.
Note 06
Where to start
If you know your district, go to the zones page and open yours. If you know your night, send it to the office with the hotel and it will come back with who is free. If you would rather look at the board first, the who is free page is the whole list with the away notes left in.
The steps from a first message to her knock at the door are on the booking page, and there are four of them.
Last strip
Say a name and an hour
Write in with a length, a time and the zone you are staying in, and a name from the board comes back with a window attached. That is the whole of the arrangement.
