Note 01

About Michelle

Tall, dark and unhurried, Michelle is 173 cm with a curvy build she has never once tried to disguise. Her hair is long, dark brown and straight, her eyes are brown, and she has a way of standing still while she works out a room that people read as poise. Late twenties. In Chelsea she goes for simple dresses in dark colours and a coat that costs more than everything under it, which is a trick she learned early and has never abandoned.

She speaks English and she is properly good company: not a performer, not a wallflower, just somebody who is easy to spend four hours with. She has a low tolerance for nonsense and a high one for detail, so what you told her last time is still there. She swims, watches far too much tennis, and cooks one dish extremely well and everything else adequately.

An SW3 evening with her usually means Manicomio on Duke of York Square, the courtyard tables in summer and the room upstairs in winter, where the food is Italian and unfussy and the square outside empties out by nine. She likes to sit outside for the first drink whatever the month. Chelsea is her home district, so the walk down to the river afterwards is one she will suggest before you do.

Four hours is her preferred shape and the one she is best at, dinner included. SW3 and the rest of the women covering it are on the Chelsea page. Once you have a night, a hotel name to booking is enough, and confirmation follows quickly or an alternative does.

Note 03

An evening with Michelle

The first hour with her is good and the third is better, which is why she steers people towards longer bookings and away from the quick drink. She is not slow to warm up so much as unwilling to compress an evening into something it should not be.

Duke of York Square is quiet after the shops close and the courtyard tables stay out late in summer. Dinner is straightforward Italian food eaten properly, with the conversation moving from your week to hers to something neither of you expected. Afterwards Chelsea goes residential very quickly: two streets off the King's Road and it is silent. She will walk you down to the river if the weather allows and back up again by a different route, because she knows all of them.

Asked most often

Michelle, on the record

Why the longer bookings?
Because an hour is an introduction and four hours is an evening. I would rather you had the evening. The quiet stretch somewhere in the second hour is the useful one, so I never talk through it.
Inside or outside?
Outside for the first drink, always, even in February. They put blankets on the chairs and the square is empty by nine.
What do you remember about a guest?
Most of it, which some people find unnerving. If you told me about your daughter's exams I will ask how they went.

What people wrote back

Nothing has been written up under Michelle yet, which is usually what discretion looks like. A note goes on the board only when a client sends one in writing, she agrees to it, and the office has checked that it reads as a first name, a month and nothing private.
