Note 01
About Rosa
Curly chestnut hair and a great deal of it, worn long and not fought with. Rosa stands 160 cm, curvy, brown eyed, with a face that is doing something amused most of the time. Mid twenties. In Marylebone she dresses softly: wide trousers, something knitted, flat shoes she can cover the whole village in. Nothing about her is trying to be intimidating, which is precisely why people relax around her within about a minute.
She speaks English and she uses it to feed people, which is to say the conversation is going to end up on food whatever else it starts with. She bakes, argues about pastry, and has eaten her way along Marylebone High Street more thoroughly than anyone should admit. She is warm, funny and disinclined to take herself seriously, and she will happily spend a whole evening on one long anecdote if you keep asking. She is very hard to embarrass and completely impossible to rush.
Her W1U evening is usually Fischer's on Marylebone High Street, the Viennese room with the dark wood and the schnitzel and the cakes in the window, where nobody has ever been rushed. She wants the banquette. W1U is her own patch, so the route back runs through the side streets towards the church garden and reaches your hotel without touching a main road.
She takes two and three hour bookings and treats dinner as the whole point of both. The Marylebone page covers W1U and the others working it. Tell booking which evening and which hotel, and what she has will be described to you without dressing it up.

Note 03
An evening with Rosa
She arrives hungry and makes no secret of it, which does more to relax a nervous guest than any amount of polished conversation. The first drink is short because she wants to be at a table.
Marylebone High Street at eight is a village that has somehow survived the middle of London, and the room she likes is all dark wood, white cloths and waiters who have seen everything. Dinner is generous and slow and she will insist on pudding for both of you. The conversation is easy the whole way through and often quite silly. Afterwards she likes the back streets towards the church garden, ten quiet minutes that make the whole district feel like a different city. She walks it slowly and talks the whole way.

What people wrote back
Nothing has been written up under Rosa yet, which is usually what discretion looks like. A note goes on the board only when a client sends one in writing, she agrees to it, and the office has checked that it reads as a first name, a month and nothing private.
